It seems like lots of small things are going wrong today - whinge alert!
1. After being told that my toe splint ordered at the hospital last week should be with me within a week, I phoned up only to find that they hadn't even ordered it. They've done so now and may be able to post it to me tomorrow, if not they'll post it on Mon. So I'm stuck with this manky bandage (there's a foot that hasn't been washed for 7 weeks underneath it - sorry if that's TMI).
2. I called HR because my payslip is £220 less than it should be due to them putting me on sick pay after my boss sent an email to them and me saying I should be on full pay for 6 weeks. HR claim they didn't know I was working from home and as the 6 weeks expired last week, they put me on SSP. I'm sure it said in the email that I was working from home, I must check. They said they will have a look at it when I go in on Monday.
3. I called to cancel the payment insurance on my credit card and couldn't get through because I entered the wrong details (I didn't have the card to hand).
4. I tried to get a car tax disc online for my dad and the site was broken.
5. I have a ferret climbing over me and it's getting annoying. Why can't he wake up one of the other 4 and go play with them?
6. I'm trying to change my dentist appointment but can't get through.
7. I haven't got any chocolate (other than Jon's yucky turkish delight and I'd have to be REALLY desperate before I touched that).
None of those are earth-shattering, just grrrrr! |

I have to make the trip to the hospital in Abergavenny (20-odd miles away) for the second time in a week on Monday. The consultant wants to see me earlier than planned (I was supposed to have all bandages removed next Thurs as that will be 6 weeks after the op). This is because I went to my GP's practice nurse last week when my bandage came off instead of going to hospital - in retrospect a stupid decision. The practice nurse said it was ok and rebandaged it, but didn't put the bandage around the toe properly, so I spent a week with my toe moving around. The hospital nurse is concerned that my toe isn't straight enough and has told the consultant. I'm quite tempted to have the whole thing chopped off, it's been a hassle! |

I've finally got round to doing this, after creating my account 18 months ago!
I don't have anything profound to say, 'cos frankly my life really isn't that exciting, so be prepared for some rambling.
Am off to make some toasted cheese sarnies, will hopefully think of some witty things to say when I'm less hungry! |
